Imagine South Vero wins Class Size Appeal

“Vero Beach, FL January 20, 2011 – The Florida Department of Education released its 2010-2011 Class Size Reduction Summary for Charter Schools and listed Imagine Schools at South Vero (ISSV) as having an Adjusted Reduction of zero dollars. This means ISSV won its Class Size Reduction Appeal and will not incur the original $17,071 reduction that was released last month. ISSV stated in its appeal that the school had done its due diligence and to their understanding was in compliance. A formula error outside of the school was the reason for the discrepancy. Principal Jonathan Sternberg expressed his appreciation and delight in the DOE’s ruling stating that his school had worked diligently to comply and was pleased that a miscalculation outside of their control was not held against them. ISSV will continue to ensure that they are in compliance.”
