Last month, Imagine Schools principals and leaders from across the country gathered in Orlando for the annual Leadership Summit, a time dedicated to professional learning, collaboration, and strengthening our shared mission.
Over the course of the Summit, leaders engaged in sessions focused on instructional leadership, shared best practices, and built deeper connections with colleagues from across the Imagine Schools network. The experience also included moments of celebration and community building.
On the final day, leaders put the Summit theme, Igniting Impact, into action through a service project supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities. Working in teams, participants assembled pop-tab collection boxes and shelving units, prepared gift bags for children and families, and wrote heartfelt notes of encouragement.
The video below captures highlights from the Summit, including the service project and the spirit of collaboration that defined the event.
Beyond the Summit itself, the impact of the project continued in the community. Members of the National Junior Honor Society from Imagine Kissimmee Charter Academy (IKCA), student council members from Imagine South Lake, and staff from IKCA visited the Ronald McDonald House Charities location in Lake Nona, Florida to deliver the donated items. During their visit, students and staff learned more about how the organization supports families facing challenging times while their children receive medical care.
“We’re incredibly proud of their leadership, compassion, and service,” said Jennifer Fornes. “This project reflects the heart of our schools and the impact our students and leaders can make when they come together to support others.”
The service project was made possible thanks to the generosity of Imagine Schools families from the following schools, whose contributions of materials and funds helped bring the effort to life:
- Imagine Weston
- Imagine North Port
- Imagine Land O’Lakes
- Imagine South Vero
- Imagine Kissimmee
- Imagine South Lake
From learning and collaboration to service and celebration, this year’s Leadership Summit was a powerful reminder that when leaders come together with purpose, they truly can ignite impact.
