Imagine Charter School at Broward celebrated their new 22,000 square-foot expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 16, 2023. The new facility, Soaring Hall, houses 12 additional state-of-the-art classrooms. Accommodating up to 240 students, the expansion increased capacity from 840 students to about 1,080.

In addition to enhanced classroom spaces, the expansion includes a new high-school sized gymnasium/auditorium, providing families and students a new venue for events, ceremonies, shows, and graduations. The expansion also includes more parking, a new drop-off/pickup area, and a new soccer field.

School and community leaders, local elected officials, parents and students gathered for the celebration. “We are pleased to celebrate the completion of this project that will provide our students with the most up-to-date classrooms and facilities in which to soar to new heights,” said Debra Darling, school principal.

In its 15th year of operation, Imagine Charter School at Broward has established itself as a school with a strong academic program. In 2021, it was one of only 80 schools worldwide to receive the Cognia School of Distinction, and has been an “A” rated school for eight years in a row.
