A few weeks ago, members of the National Academic and Character Team attended the National Forum on Character Education in Washington, DC. This team heard many inspiring speakers and engaged in breakout sessions related to the theme, “Building Productive and Caring Citizens.”
Joined by several Imagine colleagues from some of our schools in Florida, it was an opportunity to publicly celebrate our 2016 National School of Character – Imagine South Lake in Florida – and other Imagine Schools that received a total of 41 Promising Practices awards. We are so proud of our schools’ emphasis and hard work in character development!
Celebrating academic growth and achievement is meaningful when it is recognized by state leaders and authorizers. Imagine Klepinger in Dayton, OH recently received this recognition from the State Board of Education, receiving the 2016 Momentum Award.
This award recognizes schools that have received As on every value-added measure included on the 2016 Ohio School Report Card. Imagine Klepinger’s report card showed that students made greater than expected growth in math and reading.
